EPP area sales managers may have a reputation for going the extra mile for their clients but Ged McBride enhanced that even further by taking part in the Great Manchester Run with a team from one of the company’s customers Bolton-based Greenhalgh’s Craft Bakery.

Ged, who is responsible for looking after EPP’s customers and developing the company’s business in the North West of England ran the 10km in an impressive 51 minutes and has raised nearly £500 for Cancer Research.

The race, which is the largest of its type in Europe and the UK’s third largest mass participation running event was held the weekend following the Manchester Arena bombing

Ged is no stranger to running, having previously completed a number of both half and full marathons. He thanked Greenhalghs team for letting him run with them adding that he was pleased with his time particularly as he had not raced for a couple of years and had not trained too hard for the event.

He said: “I would also particularly like to thank EPP for supporting me. The atmosphere and camaraderie on the day was fantastic particularly in the light of the tragic events just a few days earlier. The organisers did a marvellous job.
