National Bakery Awards’ County Winners Crowned
EPP Managing Director Steve Merritt joined a panel of 13 judges at Bakers’ Hall in London to decide the winners in this year’s National Bakery Awards. The scheme honours the finest bakeries in the industry, and is open to all UK bakeries from wholesale and retail sectors. The winners from each county have now been announced, and they will now be invited to attend the grand final, where the Regional Winners and National Bakery of the Year will be crowned.
“I would like to congratulate all entrants for their outstanding submissions, and a special congratulations to those declared ‘The Best Bakery’ in their county,” says Steve Merritt, Managing Director, EPP. “It was a pleasure to work with the judges – each one an experienced and passionate bakery advocate – with lots of high-level discussion and debate was had. There were some very difficult decisions to be made, with some particularly strong regions stacked with bakery talent. There was a good range of bakeries from both wholesale and retail sectors, and we look forward to finding out the overall winners at the final.”
The Regional Winners and National Bakery of the Year champion will be kept secret until they are announced at the National Bakery Awards grand final, at 30 Euston Square in London on 25th September. The EPP team will be in attendance, and they hope to see you there!
