EPP is delighted to announce it has successfully renewed the Alcumus SafeContractor Approval accreditation following an annual audit. SafeContractor is a comprehensive Safety Scheme in Procurement (SSIP) accreditation which verifies details across health, safety, financial and ethical practices – ensuring approved organisations are competent and comply with health and safety standards.
“Our SafeContractor certification shows we take health and safety incredibly seriously, and it allows us to demonstrate this proudly to our clients,” says Steve Merritt, managing director, EPP. “This in turn allows us to be added to preferred supplier lists in a more streamlined and efficient manner, simplifying the process for our clients. The accreditation also provides peace of mind for customers, knowing that we are a safe and compliant company to work with.”
EPP has been accredited with the certification for 12 years, but renewal is necessary each year to provide up-to-date evidence.Matt Milborrow, Project Manager for EPP added, “A lot of hard work goes into the application, including providing proof of training and qualifications to demonstrate that EPP continues to meet the required safety and competency standards. By being accredited, the process also benefits our customers in terms of saving time and money, due to all the health and safety paperwork already being completed and compliant and easily accessible via the SafeContractor accredited portal.”
EPP is certified in the category of Food Processing Plant Engineering Services, to carry out bakery equipment installation and maintenance. All SSIP assessments are judged on criteria approved by The Health and Safety Executive.
